The Ukrainian-British City Club is dedicated to promoting business, trade and business understanding between Ukraine and the United Kingdom by extending links between the two countries and by promoting commercial and business relations.


  • to study, promote, protect and extend the industrial and commercial relations between individuals, firms, companies, corporations, institutions and associations of Ukraine and the United Kingdom
  • to organise events and functions to enhance Ukrainian-British trade, business and business understanding in the Ukrainian-British community
  • to provide members with various networking opportunities to enhance their business contacts and business understanding
  • to sponsor activities which will promote co-operation and goodwill in Ukrainian-British business relations

The Club is a non-profit making organisation funded entirely by Patrons, Sponsors and membership subscription fees together with revenue generated from the activities.

Our people

Taras Chaban, Director, Co-Founder

Taras Chaban is the Head of Buy Side Solutions of one of the biggest stock exchanges in the world, following the acquisition by the stock exchange of the fintech company he co-founded in 2009. Taras holds a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Liverpool. He is a Ukrainian living in Kent with his wife and three children.

Irina Tymczyszyn, Managing Director, Co-Founder

Irina Tymczyszyn is a partner at the London office of one of the biggest global law firms. Irina is an English-qualified lawyer specialising in international arbitration and litigation and is a member of the London Court of International Arbitration. Irina holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Manchester and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2001. Irina is a Ukrainian living in Kent with her husband and two daughters.

Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Director, Head of Ukrainian Office

Vasyl Myroshnychenko is a Partner at CFC Consulting - government relations, strategic communications and investment consultancy in Kyiv, Ukraine. Vasyl holds a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Vasyl is a Ukrainian living in Kyiv with his wife and two children.

Ivanna Dorichenko, Director, International Trade

Ivanna Dorichenko is a managing partner of the London office of a CIS law firm specialising in trade, commodities and international dispute resolution. Originally a Ukrainian qualified lawyer, Ivanna holds an LLM in International Commercial Law from Northumbria University and the GAFTA Trade Diploma and Negotiation and Leadership Certificate from Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. She was called to the bar of England and Wales in 2014 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Ivanna is a Ukrainian living in London.

Stanislav Suprunenko, Director, Chairman of Young City Club

Stanislav Suprunenko is a Principal Environmental Specialist in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, responsible for the environmental and social appraisal and monitoring of the EBRD’s various projects and developing opportunities to increase the Bank’s environmental and social transition impact. Stanislav holds a Master degree in Environmental Protection and Financial Management and Law from the National Academy of Management of Ukraine. Stanislav is a Ukrainian living in London.

Iryna Tandura, Project Manager

Iryna Tandura works for a renowned US real estate company in London where she is responsible for oversight of the development assets, managing local partners, and underwriting new investments. Iryna co-founded EdVent, a charitable organization, aimed at creating opportunities for academic, professional, and personal development of disadvantaged children and adolescents in Ukraine. Iryna holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University Graduate School of Management. Iryna is a Ukrainian living in London.

Polina Poluneeva, Project Manager

Polina Poluneeva is a second-generation banker, currently working for a large multinational bank in London. She has started her career in commodities finance and structured lending, and later transitioned into private wealth management, focusing all along on her native Ukraine and neighbouring countries. Polina holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Warwick and lives on a plane.
