Dear Sir/Madam,
Until recently, there was no concise, readily available information on cost effective ways to send money from the UK to Ukraine. Funded by the Department for International Development  (DFID Ukraine), and supported by the Embassy of Ukraine, ‘Sending Money Home? Ukraine’ is a leaflet designed to provide comparative information on the products and services available to those sending money to Ukraine. This leaflet, accompanied by the website www.sendmoneyhome.org, will be launched on Thursday 20 April at 6.30 for 7.00 pm. The Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Ukraine Group, Mr. Nigel Evans MP, is delighted to invite you to join him at the House of Commons on the occasion of the launch of the ‘Sending Money Home?’ Ukraine leaflet. The evening will begin with presentations, followed by a networking reception.
With the intention to remove barriers to the flow of money transfers to developing and emerging economies, the aims of the ‘Sending Money Home?’ initiative are twofold. Firstly, it intends to provide previously absent, yet crucial, information to the people who need it – those sending and receiving money. Secondly, it aims to increase the transparency of information in order to encourage competition and innovation among money transfer providers in the UK.
Both the Ukrainian leaflet and website are aimed at the Ukrainian community in the UK, supplying transparent, comparable information on the money transfer products available to those sending money from the UK.  The information includes costs (fees and exchange rates), speed of transfer, security and ease of access, offering the sender an opportunity to compare and choose the money transfer service that is right for them when sending money home.
Please be aware that this event is by invitation only, which is why I urge you to RSVP before 6th April 2006. For security reasons, you will be required to present your original invitation when entering the House of Commons. I sincerely hope you will be able to attend the launch, and look forward to welcoming you to the House of Commons on 20 April at 6.30 for 7.00pm.
Yours sincerely,

Atam Sandhu
